Clinician-Supervised Psychiatric Care
Ketamine Treatment Services
About Ketamine Treatment
Ketamine injection services are offered as part of a comprehensive psychiatric care program. All treatments are provided following medical evaluation and ongoing clinical oversight under medical supervision
Ketamine is a prescription medication that may be incorporated into a broader psychiatric treatment plan when clinically appropriate. Treatment decisions are made following a structured evaluation that includes medical history, current medications, and overall health considerations.
When someone has depression, the brain’s circuitry changes, including how neurons communicate with one another. According to the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine, Ketamine appears to promote the regrowth of synapses (connections between neurons). The drug targets a different system in the brain than typical antidepressants, and that may be why Ketamine works so well, even for patients who have not had success with other standard antidepressants.
Injections are administered in a monitored clinical setting.
Clinical Evaluation Process
Before treatment is considered, patients complete:
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
Medical history review
Medication reconciliation
Risk assessment and eligibility screening
Treatment recommendations are determined solely by the provider based on clinical judgment and applicable prescribing guidelines.
In-Office Injection Protocol
Ketamine injections are administered in our outpatient setting under direct medical supervision.
During visits:
Vital signs are monitored
Dosing is determined by the provider
Post-treatment observation is provided
Follow-up care is scheduled as indicated
Patients are required to arrange transportation following treatment sessions. To ensure patients get home safely when transportation is not available, we offer a $30 Uber credit.
At our Plainfield location, our psychiatric medical team provides a modern, monitored approach to Ketamine treatment that is:
